The corporations and foundations that generously support Gateway High School each year provide half of the fundraising needed to bridge the gap between a Gateway education's real costs and what the State of California provides for public school education. They do this through monetary giving and gifts-in-kind. These philanthropic corporations and foundations are as diverse in makeup as is our own student body. Yet, they share a commitment to academic excellence, service to our world community and ensure that our diverse group of student learners can receive a rigorous college prep education.
At Gateway, corporations contribute in varying ways – all equally effective in helping our students. Outright monetary donations can be designated by the donor for certain projects or accounts such as general operating expenses or specific programs. Oftentimes we are able to pair a company with an academic department creating a true partnership of expertise and need.
Grants awarded to Gateway High School by our many foundation donors enable us to fulfill our mission with small class sizes, a fully staffed learning center, two college counselors, arts and athletics and more.
